About Egerton University's Nairobi City Campus

Nairobi City Campus is located at Stanbank building, along Moi Avenue. It occupies six floors from the 5th to the 10th floor. The first four floors (5th-8th) are lecture halls, while the 9th floor hosts the offices of administration of the Campus and that of the Africa Center for Distance Education (ACDE). The 10th floor houses the Library and computer Lab.

The Campus was started around may 2011, with a total enrolment of 66 students. The student population has since grown in leaps and bound to a current population of more than 2000. The campus is headed by a Director, who is assisted by coordinators of programmes and other administrative staff.

Currently the Campus host four faculties: the Faculty of Commerce, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Education and the Institute of Gender, Women and Development Studies.
The Campus has made great progress in the area of increasing student enrolment, expanding infrastructure through acquisition of equipments and partitioning of rooms to create office space and to improve the working and learning environment for staff and students.

Towards this end the campus has managed to provide office for ACDE, a properly furnished Boardroom and a staff lounge where lecturers can prepare for their lectures. The Library users can also access computer in the library with internet connectivity.
